Description

The UK-EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement secured tariff-free trade for businesses trading between the UK and EU following the end of the transition period on 31 December 2020.

Rules of origin govern how customs authorities determine the “economic nationality” of goods – either where they are wholly grown, produced or where the last substantial manufacturing transformation took place.

Applied in every Free Trade Agreement (FTA), rules of origin determine country-specific priorities.
