We are excited to announce that we are now a centre for the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and will now be offering CMI qualifications to our learners.
The Chartered Management Institute was established in 1947, originally as the British Institute of Management. Founded with the aim of helping to rebuild British industry in the aftermath of the Second World War, the British Institute of Management had one clear goal: to raise the quality and standard of management in the workplace. This goal remains in place today as the now CMI strives for better led and managed organisations; increasing the number and standard of professionally qualified managers, and becoming a standard-bearer for management training through the development of the very first diploma in management studies.
In 2002, Her Majesty’s Privy Council granted the CMI Royal Charter status. This means that the CMI is now the only Chartered body in the U.K. that awards Management and Leadership qualifications and can award Chartered Manager status: the ultimate recognition of the professional manager.
St Andrews Management Centre is now delighted to become a CMI Partner Centre and offer our learners the opportunity to undertake CMI qualifications or achieve Chartered Manager status. Today the CMI boasts a membership community of more that 180,000 with upwards of 12,000 managers who have proved their professionalism and achieved Charter Manager status. We are excited for STAMC learners to become part of this community.
