In 2021, we launched our Developing Futures program, which is designed to offer some support to young people who have shown an aptitude in sports and who might benefit towards the costs of their activities.

Last year, we began supporting Rocco Webb, a young lad who is pursuing his ambition to become and Speedway GB Rider. This week, we were delighted to receive his most recent update:

“2023 is officially finished for Team Webb. Rocco has successfully ticked off all the goals he set himself this year. He began the year wanting to achieve at least one podium, having not made the podium at all last year. He surpassed this goal, making the podium in four out of six events and took the final 1st, crowning him Support Class Champion for 2023.

Another goal was to add to the four tracks he had raced last year, Armadale, Redcar, and Berwick. He added three more tracks, racing at Belle Vue, Scunthorpe, and Workington this year. This takes his track tally to seven for 2023.

Developing as a rider has been his main goal for this year. He has progressed really well and has learnt loads but still has much to learn and master-roll on 2024!

Most importantly, none of this is possible without the support of our amazing family, friends, and business sponsors helping Rocco to live his dream and have so much fun.”

Well done to Rocco, it sounds like all the hard work is paying off and we can’t wait to see what 2024 brings your way.
