Today marks the beginning of Living Wage Week, celebrating the real Living Wage movement.

This morning the new Living Wage rates were announced by the Living Wage Foundation. The rates will rise to £9.90 across the U.K and £11.05 in London. These rates are independently calculated to reflect what employees and their families need to live on and are based on the real cost of living. The Living Wage applies to all workers over the age of 18, recognising that young people have the same living costs as everyone else.
