“I enjoyed the course, the lectures, the lecturers and the company of other people who attended the course…I see a lot of what I learned being deployed in my job role…I found the lectures and the in-class discussions very thought provoking. They provided a great framework for thinking about organisations, their management and how to work with teams and colleagues for the best outcomes” Janet, ILM Level 3 Certificate in Leadership & Management.
Enthusiastic praise from Janet, one of our successful ILM candidates who has just completed her ILM Level 3 Certificate in Leadership & Management. Janet was just one of the candidates who joined us on the evening of August 10th when we threw open the STAMC doors for a presentation ceremony for our “graduating” ILM candidates. Our successful candidates were joined by family and friends for a small reception and presentation of certificates.
STAMC Director, Rick Bond, praised the candidates for their hard work, enthusiasm, and commitment to the course: “It is always a great pleasure to see our candidates achieving what they set out to undertake all those months ago. A great group of people to work with and we wish them every success in their future career in management.”
This was the culmination of six months of work; each of the candidates had completed one of the following courses:
- ILM Level 3 Certificate in Leadership & Management
- ILM Level 4 Certificate in Leadership & Management
- ILM Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management
Here’s what some of our candidates had to say about their experience:
“Reflecting back on the journey from the beginning was interesting. Looking at my mindset, leadership style and opinions and how they have changed with the knowledge I have obtained throughout the course. My attitude to colleagues and teammates is also different and I am more considerate and understanding of others and their work methods.” Louise, Level 3 Certificate
“Loved the course, thought the tutors were fab and I got a promotion!” Jillian, Level 3 Certificate
“There was support from tutors; understanding that everyone has busy jobs and home lives and that made it better. You felt like an individual, not just a number.” Jennifer, Level 4 Certificate
“It was an environment where I felt comfortable and even though sometimes, we were talking about things that I was not completely confident in, I felt that I was able to make contribute/try answers to questions without worrying about the reaction if I got it wrong. I do think this is one of the best learning experiences I have had and I would include some of my modules at university. I would definitely recommend ILM (specifically with yourselves) to people in the future.” John, Level 5 Diploma
